Why do I want a hybrid mattress?
You will have better comfort and support with a Hybrid; the foam layers will contour to your body relieving pressure points. The coils underneath provide firm, responsive support and help your spine align. Also, the coolant features inside will allow air to circulate through the coils easier. You will also not feel your partner move as much while sleeping.
If I have a bad back do I have to purchase a firm mattress?
You do not need to specifically purchase a Firm mattress with a bad back, unless you like a mattress firm. What you need is a mattress that will give your spine good support and the right pressure relief. Of course there isn’t a “one size fits all” when it comes to mattresses; however, you want to find a mattress that has good support (individual coils/hybrid) and the Spinal Zone patent is a great option.
If I don’t like the mattress after a month can I return it?
We do not build the return option into our price points. I understand it’s difficult to purchase a mattress after laying on it for just a few minutes; however, we like to keep our prices as low as we can. We also contract with some of the best factories in the USA so that we can offer you some of the most popular mattresses that have excellent support options.
What is the spinal zone patent?
Englander, the factory out of Chicago, has a special patent called Spinal Zone. It won the Chiropractic Association Award which was a 10-year study. It gives additional support to the lower back and hips in the middle of the mattress and is made up of a flexator (metal), tighter stitching, and denser foam.
What is the coolant feature in mattresses?
The coolant feature helps regulate your body temperature. It provides more airflow and moisture control. The beads or swirls of gel in foam help absorb and draw heat away from your body. If the mattress has copper-infused foam, it has blended particles of copper to enhance comfort, cooling, and hygiene. It’s a premium feature found in higher-quality hybrid mattresses that draws heat away from the body.
What does pro-rated and non-prorated mean on a warranty?
Non-prorated is the BEST warranty you can get. It means if it has a 10-year warranty and the bed starts dipping more than 2” at 9.5 years, you will receive 100% of what you paid for the mattress. Pro-rated means that if it dips more than 50% halfway through the warranty years, then you will only be given 50% of what you paid.
Are our mattresses hypoallergenic?
Yes, they contain no chemicals, gases, formaldehyde, or fiberglass. Although they are not labeled “organic,” they meet most of the requirements without the costly “organic” label.
Do you get more support from a frame & box spring or a platform?
The support and feel will be about the same. You do want to be sure your box spring is not broken or that wooden slats aren’t compromised. A broken box spring will ruin your mattress, making it sag.
Is the warranty something that is truly a warranty? Or is it a gimmick?
We only purchase from factories that 100% stand behind their mattresses. We have had to warranty a few beds over the last few years. Mattresses are made by humans and we all know humans make mistakes. A non-prorated warranty would be the best warranty. Most factories will warranty their beds if they dip more than 2” within the warranty time period—provided there are NO stains or tears on the top of the mattress. We highly recommend a very good protector (not a mattress pad) for your mattress. Even sweat marks can void your warranty, so always protect your mattress. We love to work with customers on a warranty claim! Our goal is to always make you happy.
Why are our mattresses priced lower than other stores?
Our business model is set up so that we don’t have regular store hours (most of our business is by appointment only) and we don’t have a lot of overhead; therefore, we can keep our prices lower. Additionally, we don’t mark up our products the way other mattress stores mark their products.
I want a bed where the head and feet go up. What kind of a mattress do I need?
You will want to purchase an “adjustable friendly” mattress. It needs to be either hybrid or all memory foam; an innerspring mattress will not work. Adjustable bases are very convenient for back issues, surgery patients, or someone that may suffer from heartburn or GERD. Also, always check with your warranty to be sure the mattress isn’t voided if you put it on an adjustable base. All of our mattresses are adjustable friendly.
What is the best mattress for different sleeping positions?
A hybrid will work well for side, back, and stomach sleepers, as it balances cushioning and support. The individual coiling system in a hybrid works well for all sleeping positions.
